Computer Aided Drawing
- It is the method by which we create technical 2D drawings, 3D models of an 'individual part', or 'the component', or 'assembly of part or component that makes a particular mechanism or machine' that the manufacturer can understand.
- In many cases of CAD software now, can now conduct the analysis & optimization of the part can be conducted. However, the accuracy and ease of conducting analysis can vary from software to software.

- It is the method by which we can conduct the analysis and optimization of a particular part or assembly of parts, taking into consideration the material properties and under the applied loads & boundary conditions, which represent the real-life conditions the part or assembly is subjected to, using the principles of 'Finite Element Method'
